All styles can be danced to both traditional and contemporary tunes with the appropriate tempo and rhythm. Click the titles of each dance to see a brief example.

Ballroom

Waltz and Foxtrot are smooth and graceful dances. With gliding steps and flowing turns, you will feel elegant as you travel around the dance floor within your ballroom classes. American Tango moves around the floor the same way, but with a distinctly different quality.

  • Waltz - Done to ¾ time, Waltz is a romantic expression of partner dance.

  • Foxtrot - If you enjoy the music of The Crooners, Foxtrot is the dance for you!

  • American Tango - Intense and passionate, the dramatic poses and movements evoke power and emotion.

Latin

  • Merengue - The simplest of all Latin Dances, Merengue is a great way to start learning Latin hip motion.

  • Salsa - With complex rhythms and exciting footwork, Salsa is a universal favorite.

  • Cha Cha - This energetic and flirtatious dance incorporates quick footwork and syncopations.

  • Rumba - While related to Cha Cha, the slow and sensual rhythms of Rumba create a relaxing yet captivating dance.

  • Samba - An energetic and lively dance from Brazil, Samba is rhythmically different from other Latin dances and moves around the floor similar to Ballroom and Country 2 Step.

  • Hustle - A high-energy dance with fast footwork, spins, and funky, upbeat music.

Country

  • Country 2 Step - With lots of turns and dynamic patterns, Country Two step carries you around the floor with an up-tempo flair.

  • Nightclub 2 Step - This lyrical, romantic dance is perfect for ballads and slower songs. If you want to go beyond the “Clutch and Sway” of high school, sign up for these country dance lessons.

Swing Dance

  • East Coast Swing - The most versatile of all the dances, East Coast Swing can be done to uptempo songs from the 1940s to today. With a variety of levels of footwork, you can be on the dance floor quickly and continue improving your steps for years to come in swing dancing lessons.

  • West Coast Swing - A modern style of swing that’s always evolving, West Coast Swing can be danced to many styles of music - R&B, country, pop, etc. More challenging to learn than other dances, you may wish to study other styles before starting West Coast.
